Author Douglas Murray says he is stunned at the simple “lack of empathy” for over 100 Israeli hostages still being held by Hamas in Gaza.

It follows a rescue operation conducted by the IDF where four hostages abducted from the Tribe of Nova music festival in the Negev desert on October 7 were saved.

According to the Hamas-run Ministry of Health in Gaza, over 270 Palestinians were killed during the operation.

“Even if any innocent civilians were killed, obviously that’s sad, but the problem is, is that there’s almost a moral lesson in this,” Mr Murray told Sky News host Rita Panahi.

“Do not kidnap people and hold them in your house.”
