438 Baptism With The Holy Spirit #2

The resource of being baptized with the Holy Spirit is for prayer, praise and power. We see in the New Testament that Jesus breathed on His disciples to receive the Holy Spirit in salvation but also told them to wait in Jerusalem until the Holy Spirit had been poured out. It’s clear that the Baptizer, Jesus, understood these to be two separate experiences.
