Dan Papirany ITRIO – Coltrix

Here is a composition titled “Coltrix”. This composition follows the Coltrane Matrix firstly featured on “Giant steps”. This tune has several tempo changes, and it is challenging getting the tempo right each time it changes. It develops from a Piano and Bass parts and interludes to the final bebop theme which incorporates Drums and Bass solos. This project was inspired by the collaboration between musicians during covid. In this clip I collaborate with myself and play all instruments. I used the “BARS” studio equipment to record and video one part at the time. The result is a one-person trio format I call ITRIO.
