Humanity and parasites have a long standing history of absolutely hating one another. There is nothing quite as abhorrent as a parasite feeding on your body, with or without your knowledge. Being relatively small creatures, typically there is nothing to worry about concerning external parasites if you can destroy them. However, once entering your body, thats where the issues begin to arise. In the events of Ticks, the parasites begin increasing in size and becoming well beyond their normal range of sizes.
