KATRINA MCGOWAN
Katrina is director, producer and writer of “How To Poison A Planet” an investigative documentary for streaming platform, Stan that features actor and activists Mark Ruffalo.

She is the recipient of a Walkley Award and Kennedy Award for Excellence in Journalism for her joint investigation into the PFAS contamination of the Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community which is featured in “How To Poison a Planet”.

She was also the recipient of the Screen Australia's Emerging Filmmaker Enterprise Program in 2020.

Katrina was the associate producer of “The Eulogy” which was distributed by Madman and nominated for an AACTA Award.

iKANDY FILMS

iKandy Films is an award-winning documentary company that has made films for Australia and the international broadcasters.

Under director, Janine Hosking, iKandy Film's highlights include producing feature documentaries “My Khmer Heart” and “Ganja Queen” for HBO and having “Mademoiselle and the Doctor” screen to critical acclaim at both Australian and international film festivals. “My Khmer Heart” was shortlisted for Academy Award nomination.

iKandy Films also produced feature documentaries, “35 Letters” which won best documentary at The Sydney Film Festival and “The Eulogy” which was nominated for an AACTA award.

Most recently iKandy Films produced "How To Poison A Planet" for Stan which featured actor and activist Mark Ruffalo and also a "Horse Named Winx" which premiered at the Sydney Film Festival this year and will be distributed in cinemas nation-wide by Transmission in September.
