McGuffey claims sexism, homophobia responsible for her firing

The former commander of Hamilton County's jail claims in a federal lawsuit that Sheriff Jim Neil and his staff discriminated against her because she's a woman and because she's gay. Charmaine McGuffey, 60, also alleged she lost her job because of how she criticized internal investigations into use of force at the jail.
