Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky said heexpects "important decisions" to be made at the G7summit, to help his country fight invading Russian forces.

The White House said the G7 nations have made goodprogress on a US plan to use frozen Russian assets toraise $50bn (£39bn) a year for Ukraine.

Leaders from seven of the world's richest nations -Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK and theUS - are at the summit in Italy to discuss a number ofissues, including the wars in Ukraine and Gaza.
