Jeremiah 36-39: “The Word Will Never Pass Away!” 6/12/24

Jeremiah has been faithful to speak God's word, even if it meant persecution and imprisonment.
It would mean both those things for Jeremiah, but he remained faithful not to deviate from the truth.
Speaking the truth would eventually result in his imprisonment.
And it would cause him to be banned from the temple; that is his situation at present.
While he was banned from the temple, God told him to write down all the words he had spoken to the people on a scroll.
This scroll would include all the prophecies and warnings God had spoken to the people through Jeremiah from the days of King Josiah until now.
That would cover a span of some 23 years.
Now, you might wonder how he could remember all that he had been told for 23 years when I can't remember what someone told me yesterday unless I write it down.
Two words answer that question, “But God.”
The Bible is divinely inspired, written by men, but through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
