ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Fulton County Superior Court Chief Judge Ural Glanville is the man in charge of one of metro Atlanta’s highest profile, most complex trials in recent memory.

Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffrey Williams, is facing criminal charges as part of the Young Slime Life street gang. He has pleaded not guilty to all eight counts.

Glanville served on the magistrate court of Fulton County from 1995 to 2004. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Georgia in 1984 and a juris doctor, also from UGA, in 1987. He earned a master’s in strategic studies at the U.S. Army War College in 2008.

Young Thug and his YSL and CO'DS back in court for the 90th day in their RICO trial in Atlanta.

Young Thug's attorney, Brian Steel, was held in contempt of court Monday afternoon.

Later, he was sentenced to time in the Fulton County jail.

The incident unfolded after Steel approached the bench after the lunch recess, revealing his knowledge of an ex parte conversation that happened before court on Monday morning. This conversation, which involved the judge prosecutors and witness Kenneth "Lil Woody"

Reportedly, Copeland included Copeland's admission to kiling Donovan "Nut" Thomas Jr. Thomas's 201 5 murder is something prosecutors have been trying to show Young Thug played a part in.
