The Acolyte didn't take long to show everyone what a disrespectful turd it truly is! While people jumped all over the first two episodes and exaggerated how bad they were to fit the narrative they had been hearing for weeks, they could have simply waited a week and had their outrage fully justified as Episode 3 set out to intentionally damage the story of Anakin Skywalker, the focus of the original Star Wars saga. Kathleen Kennedy and Leslye Headland simply cannot allow the original movies to stand untarnished as they struck right at the heart of Star Wars's original concept, the idea of Anakin's virgin birth. And they're ticking all the boxes of inclusion and intersectionality along the way. Our review goes into just why this decision to have Osha and Mae be born of the force like Anakin is so damaging to the original story.
