The pressure on America and the Western countries has continued to pile up with special force around the issues of Russia and the Tucker Carlson & Vladimir Putin interview, the problem of President Biden and his mental incompetence, the invasion of illegal migrants coming over the southern border, and issues around money, food, housing, and energy. But the biggest, most distressing question of all is: Who is actually running the United States? Because we are often the cause of our own stress, it is good to pull away from time to time, step back, and take stock of where we’re at, what is coming at us, and where we appear to be going. So for this month, let’s call this a ‘taking stock of things” Look-See. It’s not all pleasant, but if it moves you to look at and prepare for big change, that’s good. And we will end on a good note! Hi there! This is the Look-See for August 2024. For those who are watching or listening for the first time, the Look-See is a brief look at what is happening in our world and where the big trends are headed. Reality is not fixed. It is very dynamic and changes according to what we are doing with our consciousness. Nothing becomes “real” until we make it real…we make a choice, take some kind of action, put something together or take it apart. Those decisive actions are what determine the path and the outcome. And, of course, once we set something in motion, it takes a lot to make a change or get things going in another direction. And that is exactly the reason for looking ahead – if we don’t like the direction that things are going, we can make appropriate changes in a timely way, or prepare for what may look inevitable. If we see something we like, we can put some conscious attention on that outcome and help things along. So before I get too far off track, I’ll just say, it is important to look ahead and assess what is happening and where we are going so we know whether or not we need to do something different.
