God of War Trailer (2018)

Unlike earlier games, which were loosely based on Greek mythology, this one is loosely influenced by Norse mythology, with the majority of it taking place in ancient Scandinavia in the realm of Midgard. For the first time in the series, there are two protagonists: Kratos, the former Greek God of War who is still the only playable character, and Atreus, his infant son. After Kratos' second wife, Faye (Atreus' mother), dies, the two embark on a journey to fulfill her wish that her ashes be scattered upon the highest peak of the nine kingdoms. Kratos conceals his tragic background from Atreus, who is unaware of Kratos' divine nature. They come into fight with Norse creatures and gods during their trip.
