All You Give To Me

“All You Give to Me” was written in the summer of 2000 for my husband during the time of our divorce. It was my attempt to take the opposite road in a time of upheaval and express my gratitude for all that the marriage had given me, even as it was ending. After all, this man was the father of my children and the creator of my beautiful home and property, which we continued to share for the next twenty years. The family was shocked when he passed in his sleep on June 12, 2020 after having a grand mal seizure. As I prepared for his funeral, I remembered the song I had written twenty years previously and brought out the dusty songbook from that era. There I found a song of complete gratitude written for someone I had deeply loved. The strangest part is that the words came even more alive twenty years later. This song and video are dedicated to the memory of Anthony Patrou, (born December 22,1956--died June 12, 2020). Father, husband and friend, Tony lives on in the memory of all who knew and loved him. The gifts he gave continue to bless those he cared for in many ways. We miss you, Tony.
