God of War II Trailer (2007)

The sequel, released in 2007, follows up years after the previous game, with Kratos abusing his new godhood by wreaking devastation on Greece with his Spartan army. The other gods are furious, and Zeus betrays Kratos by stabbing him in the chest with the Sword of Olympus.
Kratos is rescued by Gaia the Titan and joins forces with her to assassinate Zeus. Kratos then discovers that Zeus is his father, implying that he is a demi-god. Soon after, Athena (Kratos' only ally in Olympus) sacrifices herself to save Zeus. Furious that he has suffered yet another defeat at the hands of his/the gods, Kratos rejoins the Titans and prepares to attack Mount Olympus head-on.
