06.02.24 "Jesus Is Ready, Willing & Able / We Must Be Too"

One of the things that blocks us from doing healings is our own evaluation of our ability or readiness. We forget that we are not doing the miracle healings alone, Jesus if doing them with us. Jesus is definitely ready. "The healer who relies on his own readiness is endangering his understanding. He is perfectly safe as long as he is completely unconcerned about his readiness but maintains a consistent trust in mine." (OrEd.Tx.2.64) Okay. So we have to trust that Jesus is ready, willing and able.

We are told in ACIM that we ALSO must keep ourselves ready, willing and able, and these characteristics are intimately tied to the slogan for the Great Crusade we are on, "Listen, learn and do." (OrEd.Tx.1.31) I love that our Crusade has a slogan. "Readiness means that you should always keep your perceptions straight, so that you will always be ready, willing, and able. These are the essentials for 'listen, learn, and do.' You must be ready to listen, willing to learn, and able to do." (OrEd.Tx.1.75) We must stay perpetually ready to listen to Jesus and to the Holy Spirit. We must be willing to learn new ways of perceiving the world and our relationship to it. Then we must be able to DO, to accomplish. That means we have to connect with true power.

I remember that in high school physics class, power was defined as the potential to do something. To keep ourselves able to do healing miracles means that we have embraced and connected with our Divine power. "There is nothing my holiness cannot do" (OrEd.WkBk.38) is the declaration of our connection to absolute power. Always remember that until our own connection feels mastered, Jesus' connection is there with us to bridge our little gap – and they didn't call Jesus "Master" for nothing.
