Husky Imitates Little Baby's Babbling

We love this clip! The adorable baby is sitting on the floor and babbling to his dog friend. The husky responds by copying if not the exact the sounds the baby makes at least the rhythm and intonation. We found this whole journey to be the cutest thing in the world and a much needed pick-me-up in the middle of the work week. We think you’ll love this video as well. Did you know that there are at least breeds of Husky, though not all of them are recognized by the American Kennel Club. The Club breeds are the Siberian and Alaskan Malamute. The other breeds of Husky are the Alaskan Husky, the Akita, the American Eskimo Dog and the Chinook. You could also include the Eurohound which is a mixed breed of Siberian Huskies and German or English Pointers. There are some other breeds but we’ll save those for another day.

The Alaskan Malamute is Alaska’s state mascot and is named after an Inuit tribe. Malamutes are big dogs with thick double coats and brown eyes. However, when most people think of Huskies they actually think of the Siberian. They are the ones that are sleeker and have the colorful blue or whitish-blue eyes. Alaskan Huskies are even smaller than Siberians and bred specifically for their working ability. This means that these Huskies have a wide range of looks that make them appear similar to Siberians in some cases, Malamutes in others and even more wolf-like in others. It’s a wide ranging breed!
