Today, going to wild life sanctuaries, farms and animal rescues is the modern version of going to the zoo. Many of these places have more specific animals than zoos do. So, you might not get to see an elephant next to penguins next to a naked mole rate exhibit but you will get to see a lot of a very specific animals in a greater quantity than you might see at a zoo. As an example, we have this video of a family at a farm or sanctuary for deer.

The woman filming, who we are going to assume is the boy in the orange t-shirt’s mom, at one point in the video says that there are over 500 deer in the park that they are at. The little boy in the orange t-shirt is trying to count all of the deer. Though he stops when he gets to 10 and runs around excitedly. However, the deer are not too keen on either the boy’s counting or his excitement at having counted to ten. He pets one of the deer and tries to run over to another one who does not have time for him.

The other deer takes out the little kid and knocks him over before running away. We do wonder how many of the deer are female. They all appear to be does or young fawns growing into themselves. By the way, based on the markings and colorings of these deer, the deer appear to be whitetail deer. These deer have a huge range taking up most of the United States, Mexico, half of Canada and even parts of Central America and the northern countries of South America. Obviously, they are known for their bright white tails.
