All of us pray for people all the time, and we do so with hearts full of faith. There are times we are asked to pray for a person or people that seem so overwhelming and too heavy. But we by faith and sincerity pray the best way we can and hope for God's best. The greater the problem the harder it seems to have that kind of faith. Yet we press on.

I have been praying quite a while for two young people who both have had very hard lives. They seem to be in impossible situations on several of the severest levels. The kind that would be deemed miracle status from God if and when answered.

When I pray for tough situations I never like to rush into prayer. Instead, I choose to be still and wait for my heart to move. Of course there are times I go ahead and pray with raw faith.

But today I felt unusually flat, empty and void. I hated the way I felt and did not want to pray for these young ones without feeling it my heart. They deserve all of my heart, not a part but the whole. I let the Lord know my thoughts. As I sat there my I thought about their future. Wondering what it would look like and I felt even weaker.

Then I heard the Lord speak to me saying, "You know nothing about My grace." I heard him within my spirit further. "I have stretched out my grace over their whole lives."

The Lord knows when we cannot push past our humanness and weakness. Then in His Kingliness He speaks and we are assured by His Voice of loving power. We reach by way of His throne.

"So wait before the Lord; Wait in the stillness. And in that stillness, assurance will come to you. You will know that you are heard; you will know that your Lord ponders the voice of your humble desires; you will hear quiet words spoken to you yourself, perhaps to your grateful surprise and refreshment.
