Russia testing remote-controlled drone tanks with FPV technology

Footage shows a Russian soldier controlling a war tank fitted with a First-Person View (FPV) drone using remote controls.

Russia may have lost more than 8,000 armoured fighting vehicles in the first 24 months of the war. Among those are more than 3,000 main battle tanks (MBTs), or as many MBTs as it had at the outset. It has had to replenish stocks by taking old equipment from storage.

In today reality, It has not been a good decade for tanks. UAVs, only the latest iteration of threats to armour, are ubiquitous on the Ukrainian battlefield and exploit tanks where their armour is typically weakest – on the top.

Math doesn't add up either,
T-90s can cost about $4.5 million, while previous and cheaper models can run between $2.5 million and $3.5 million

FPV Kamikaze Defender KIPISH 7 ( FPV drone thats being used often in Ukraine) Cost $400 with RPG rocket anywhere $100-$500

It takes less than a $1000 to destroy $3mil + dollar tank ...

And don't forget the human factor, it takes 3 person crew (commander, gunner, and driver) to operate newer T90 tanks . But with older tanks that have a manual loading mechanism , you need a 4-5 people crew .
