Furiosa Removed from 800+ Theaters Signaling the End

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga had a disappointing start, marking the worst opening Memorial Day weekend in decades. Now it seems its theatrical run will be coming to an end much sooner.

Furiosa already saw a 70% drop in attendance during it’s second weekend, but an additional 60% drop during the third weekend. This was accompanied by a reduction of over 800 theaters which signals theaters are giving up on it. Despite decent reviews it would appear audiences are just not interested in this movie and this could be attributed to the movie expected to come out digitally at the end of June.
