Lord of The Rings Stars are Back for "The Hunt for Gollum"

With the Return of a Middle Earth Film and with Peter Jackson at the helm, we have surprising news coming from Viggo Mortensen and Ian McKellen also known as "Aragorn" and "Gandalf" in the Lord of The Rings films about the possibility of returning to their beloved roles.

Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens, and Andy Serkis are returning to Middle-earth! Just announced today, a new film set in the Lord of the Rings universe will release in 2026 - Hunt for Gollum. Serkis will return to play Gollum as well as direct. Jackson, Walsh, & Boyens are producing. The script is currently being worked on by Walsh and Boyens as well as War of the Rohirrim writing duo Phoebe Gittins and Arty Papageorgiou.
