John - Chapter 17 Summary:

John chapter 17 records Jesus' High Priestly Prayer, in which He prays for Himself, His disciples, and all future believers. Jesus begins by asking the Father to glorify Him so that He may glorify the Father, acknowledging that His mission on earth is complete and that He has made the Father known to those given to Him. He prays for His disciples, asking the Father to protect them, sanctify them in the truth, and unify them as they remain in the world to continue His work. Finally, Jesus prays for all future believers, desiring that they may be one, just as He and the Father are one, so that the world may believe in Him through their unity and love. This chapter highlights Jesus' deep concern for the well-being, unity, and mission of His followers, emphasizing the importance of their relationship with God and each other.
