The end of WW2 forced millions of German civilians to flee to safer areas. Amongst them were scientists and researchers. The US government used their skills to advance rocket technology to gain the upper hand on the Soviets. The impact of Operation paperclip upon El Paso goes beyond WW2. The German culture here, though small, deserves to be heard.
