Episode 259: Is it possible for an unbeliever to believe in God? Part 1

Hello everyone. In today's Bible study we continue our series on Born from Above. Today we concentrate on the unbelieving sinner's ability to believe in and receive Christ as Savior and Lord.
Is that possible according to the scriptures? This is where most people go off the track by believing things that the Bible does not teach. As a matter of biblical fact, when the scriptures teaches just the opposite of what they believe, these people actually get upset with you as if you wrote the book.
Nevertheless, we must adhere to sound doctrine, believing only what the scriptures teach. We our beliefs are directly challenged by scriptures then the believer is obligated to believe the scriptures and not what they think, know, or been previously taught. The scriptures are God's word not what we believe about the scriptures.
