Rovasurinn is the wife of the Sulokhan, or King of the Temirian Shore. She ascended to the queenship through trial by combat after her arranged marriage was challenged by other contestants. The Temirian Shore, also known as the Shore of Iron, is situated at the fork of the Artakyron, a massive river that traverses the entire continent known as the Southern Fortunes. All commerce that travels north or south on the Artakyron passes the Temirian shore, which has prospered from port fees, tariffs, tolls, excises, and other taxes. Rovasurinn’s husband is King Casqaban.
