Rare red hydrocorals found in Chilean waters

Scientists in the Strait of Magellan made a rare discovery of red hydrocorals, uncovering a previously unknown ecosystem in the southernmost part of the American continent. Rewilding Chile Conservation Director Ingrid Espinoza said the hydrocorals had been spotted before, but never in water this shallow or far south.
