1. New law effective May 1, 2024, has raised the bar from a reasonable to a (necessary) standard in the use of deadly force.
2. Use of deadly force to prevent the commission of forcible felonies are limited to ONLY forcible felonies that pose imminent peril of death or serious bodily injuries.
