These are garlic stalks on which seeds then appear. These stems can be eaten in the same way as young garlic leaves. In my opinion, the stems are even tastier than the leaves. In general, this is an original seasoning from our garden. Very tasty with lard or borscht. This food is popular with everyone who lives a rural life in our area. Garlic leaves and stems are ready to eat in early summer. Nature then makes the plant too tough to eat. It becomes unpalatable.
