In this episode, Bill talks with Flip, Skinny, and Danny of the Israeli Rapcore band, HotBox.

We discuss their childhoods in Israel and their service in the Israeli Defense Forces. They share how they stayed true to themselves and pursued their dream of performing music. Initially unwelcomed in their local community, they set up generators and made themselves heard in Israel.

We dive into the history of the infamous Rebel Bar in Tel Aviv and the family-first rule in the HotBox band. Danny talks about bringing his Russian rap roots to the band. The members share their rules for living together and the differences between music festivals back home and playing Danny Wimmer Festivals in the United States.

The band recounts filming the music video for "South Side" in Tel Aviv. Masks are a way of life for them. They describe the experience of playing GTA in Israel and living it in the United States.
