Thailand and the United States have a mutual defense pact, and participate in the longest-running joint military exercises in the world. Thailand admits that BRICS nations are not close to developing a single currency, to be used by bloc members. They do see tokenization as a way forward, however, with central banks issuing tokens to provide trade guarantees between member states. And by setting up a system of banks outside SWIFT to sweep overnight FX surpluses generated by their trade with G7 countries, the risks of sanction and asset seizure go away.
