Deputies: Man Attempts Robbery, Steals $17
An Orlando man was arrested for allegedly robbing a motorcycle shop, according to the Collier County Sheriff's Office. Deputies responded to the shop Friday morning after reports of a theft that had taken place. A store employee reported that a man, later identified as Irving Labron-Ramirez, 32, entered the store in need of his bike chain to be tightened. When the employee went to get assistance, Labron-Ramirez went behind the counter and began taking money from the cash register, according to a CCSO report. When the employee tried pulling Labron-Ramirez off the counter, he pushed off of her and the employee fell against a motorcycle. The robber then fled from the scene on a blue Yamaha G6. Deputies were quickly alerted and Labron-Ramirez was located and arrested in the area of Tamiami Trail E and Triangle Blvd. Deputies found marijuana and only $17 found on Labron-Ramirez because he dropped most of it during the struggle, according to a CCSO report.
