WHAT IT MEANS TO BE ENFOLDED INTO CHRIST

Journey with me today into two verses of scripture. I will read them from the Passion Bible to see an expanded insight into what God is saying to us today.
First, John 2:1-2
1 Christ is our forgiving redeemer and intercessor.
2 Christ is the righteous one who suffered in our place.
3 Christ is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, cleansing, and sheltering us.
The purpose of these scriptures is to open up our understanding of what happened to us when we came to Christ as believers. This revelation gives us faith and strength to stand in difficult times, knowing that we are in the beloved Jesus Christ himself.
Second Corinthians 5:17 p/b
They who are enfolded in Christ have become an entirely new person.
We talk a lot about being in Christ as believers, yet this word gives us a picture of how much it means to be in Christ.
When you get a chance, take a trip to the corner bakery and watch them prepare the bread dough for the day. This may give you an idea of what it means to be folded in Christ.
At least a dozen different ingredients sit on the table. They place each ingredient in the mixture, and it folds together until you cannot tell one ingredient from the other. It becomes a new creation.
We are not in Christ, like a lost marble in the bedroom under the dresser drawer.
The marble may be in the bedroom, but it's not part of the bedroom.
We are so mingled with Christ that you cannot separate us or tell us apart; we have been enfolded into him.
Isn't that something?
