Were there Marines at D-Day in Normany France?

A lot of folks think there weren't any Marines at D-Day in Normandy France. Since today is the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Invasion at Normandy France, we're going to find out if there were Marines present, and what impact they had on the operation.
