El Salvadoran President Hits Democrats With Tough News

President Nayib Bukele (El Salvador) says Democrats have gifted Trump “the greatest campaign ever” by making him a convicted felon.

“If there’s no way to stop him from competing in the election, all the things that they do to him will just give him more votes.”

TUCKER CARLSON: “What advice would you give to another former democratically-elected leader seeking office who is facing jail time?”

PRESIDENT BUKELE: “I mean, if there was a way to stop the candidacy, then he’s probably in trouble. But if there’s no way to stop him from competing in the election, all the things that they do to him will just give him more votes, right?”

TUCKER CARLSON: “That seems to be happening.”

PRESIDENT BUKELE: “Yes. I mean, either you stop the candidacy, or you let him be, but just, you know, hitting him ... You make him the greatest campaign ever.”
