On the initiative of the AfD: minute's silence for Rouven L. in the BundestagThe AfD parliamentary group in the German Bundestag has requested a minute's silence in memory of police officer Rouven L, who was killed in a knife attack in Mannheim. A minute's silence was held in the plenary of the Bundestag on Wednesday. Bundestag President Bärbel Bas condemned the act as a brutal attack and declared that "there are many indications of an Islamist motive".
Stürzenberger calls for action: "A totalitarian ideology that legitimizes killing is among us"
Michael Stürzenberger survived the knife attack in Mannheim on May 31, 2024 with injuries to his face and leg. "But it's not all that bad, the others are worse off," the Islam critic and political activist commented on his condition in an interview with Deutschland Kurier.

Stürzenberger speaks from his hospital room and emphasizes once again: "We have nothing against Muslims!" He and his fellow campaigners are explicitly concerned with political Islam, which Stürzenberger describes as a "totalitarian ideology that legitimizes violence and killing".

"I'm proud of every Muslim with a modern attitude who says: 'Hey, you're right - we don't want Sharia law either,'" Stürzenberger continues. He calls on politicians and fellow citizens to take action.
