1 Corinthians 28 The Greatest of These is Love 1 Cor 13:1-13

SBC Family,

Tonight we will study "love" chapter. In doing so we will also look at "the perfect." When are the spiritual gifts of prophecy and knowledge done away with? When do tongues cease? Important chapter. Highly theological. Great on love as the proper context for use of spiritual gifts in the assembly. Get this right and use of your gift won't be annoying to others. Get it wrong and you'll be nothing but a clanging cymbal banging chaotically in the background. They were crazy about tongues speaking. We'll get more into his correction on tongues in chapter 14. But this issue has to be settled first. It's really a chapter that's answering why love is greater than the revelatory spiritual gifts.
