Neale Donald Walsch, the renowned author of Conversations with God and his new book GodTalk, talks with me about how to talk to God and how to develop a relationship with God. He offers a six-step process to help individuals initiate and deepen their conversations with God.

Neale articulates that God speaks to us every day through our feelings and through insights. And our feelings are not to be ignored. Conversations with God are not restricted to specific individuals but are a universal phenomenon.

I believe that a truly healthy person needs to have a spiritual practice and spiritual aspects of their life. And I wanted to explore and discuss the nature of healthy spirituality with none other than the author of Conversations with God himself. Healthy spirituality is not fear-based or controlling. It should feel good and loving — or it’s not likely coming from God.

For decades, I was resistant to anything to do with God and organized religions. There was something I didn’t trust about organized religion, and got God confused and mixed up in this distrust! Organized religion is the construct of man.

But in reading Neale’s Conversations with God, I finally got “it” and felt deeply connected to the type of relationship with God Neale discussed in his books. This was what I was craving and truly desiring my whole life - a personal relationship with God.

I felt like I was talking to God himself reading his book. And it answered all of my questions about religion and the nature of God and spirituality. There is a reason Neale's books are so popular and read by millions! I highly recommend reading his new book GodTalk and his classic Conversations with God.

Additionally, Neale clarifies that God is not an external entity but resides within each person - we are truly one with God. Recognizing this internal divinity can profoundly change our perceptions and interactions with the world - providing a profound sense of peace and stress relief.

“God is not something that's way over here someplace, outside of us. In fact, that essence of the universe that we call God … exists within all of us. It's part of every single sentient being in the cosmos. So not only are we having a conversation with God, we are, in fact, a part of God.” ~ Neale Donald Walsch
