Made by Raymond Pages in Nicaragua, Hoofty HOG is fuller in body than the Original.... more medium to full overall but with ample spice and notes of black pepper up front that absolutely coat the palate. The Ecuadorian Habano Maduro wrapper is a dark, matte brown color with a mottled and toothy look, and is paired with a Mexican San Andres binder and long-filler recipe of Puebla Nuevo, Condega, and Jalapa fillers from NIcaragua. Dense, meaty and well-constructed, it builds in both complexity and strength as it burns, yet stops short of full-tilt, full-bodied strength. This heady concoction offers notes of toast, espresso, leather, nuts, and earth, with a pepper-forward profile balanced with a slight sweetness.
