Jospeh’s brothers were talking in front of Joseph, and they did not realize that Joseph understood everything that they were saying! Joseph had pretended to not understand them, by having someone else tell them what they were saying, and that same person told the brothers what Joseph was saying! Someone who spoke two different languages! Today let’s ready Genesis 42:23 and play pretend! For this activity you may want three people. One person to interpret and two to speak different languages. Have the people speaking different languages use real words, or make them up, and have the interpreter tell the other person what they are saying in the other persons real or made up language!
