Lora Ries calls out suspicious timing of Biden’s executive order limiting asylum claims

Heritage Foundation Border Security and Immigration Center Director Lora Ries slams President Joe Biden's executive order that bars illegal immigrants from receiving asylum when there is a surge in illegal crossings. “This executive order does three things, none of which is secure the border,” she explains. “It allows him to say he did something. It gives him another opportunity to try and bash congressional Republicans, even though he forgets about the House which did its job over a year ago in passing H.R. 2, the Secure the Border Act—an excellent bill. And it whistles to his ally organizations on the left that they should sue to stop implementation of this. And right on cue, the ACLU has already stated that it will in fact sue to stop this."
