I’m from a small, blue-collar town.
I grew up in poverty.
I was homeschooled until 7th grade.
And I also didn’t graduate from high school.
Fast-forward and I found myself managing a team, at a tech startup, in San Francisco (maybe you’ve heard of it…kind of an up-and-coming little town)
This wasn’t just any startup, it was the newest “unicorn” tech startup (which means the company grew to a billion-dollar valuation within 5 years).
I was surrounded by the most educated, smart, successful people I had ever been around.
I went to a state school. They went to Ivy League schools.
To say that I felt inferior is a big understatement.
I felt like the biggest Imposter.
Didn’t they know that I shouldn’t be there?
At any moment I was sure they were going to find out that I didn’t belong, and they would kick me out.
The primary reason any of us feels the Imposter Syndrome is because we feel like the odd one out.
We worry that people are going to discover that we aren’t “supposed to” be there.
I was able to overcome my Imposter Syndrome.
Someone asked me where I learned all about all of this, and I really think it was out of necessity.
Because I’ve seen the other side, I want desperately to help people who are in the position I was in.
I see now that it’s SO unnecessary to be held back by the Imposter Syndrome.

Back in Jan 2017, I was a SDR making $78k a year, but I didn't have a lot of confidence in myself and I started hiring a coach and throughout the last 7 years, I hired 9 different coaches who helped me go from SDR to Strategic AE at world-class organizations such at TriNet, my journey was SMB AE at LinkedIn, MM AE at CoachHub, Ent AE at Udemy and then Sales Director at Fortune Magazine. Because of all of the support and investing $150k (traveling the world going to conferences to learn from millionaires and the most successful people in the world) into world-class training/development, I've been able to publish four books, grow my brand pretty significantly, started a men groups, publish 300 podcast episodes.
