German Shepherd Comforts Sad Rottweiler In The Snow

Every once in a while, you need a friend to lean a shoulder on. Life can be a stressful, frightening, maddening, depressing journey, but it helps if you have people in your life who can lend you comfort and aid in your low times. Similarly, we hope you are the kind of person who can offer your shoulder or helping hand to friends who need it. Which brings us to this absolutely “aww” inducing video of two dogs hanging outside on the back porch while it snows outside.

Now, we don’t know why the Rottweiler in the video is upset. Maybe he just doesn’t like the snow and is sad that he can’t go play in the backyard. Maybe both dogs got in trouble and were put in timeout for a minute. Conversely, maybe he is just sad. That happens from time to time. There are days where you just aren’t your chipper self and don’t really see a way out the mood. Personally, based on the way they act I think these two dogs are upset about the snow. But I could be very wrong. We don’t have much information to go on.

I just love that the German Shepherd cares about his clearly upset friend. While the Rottweiler mopes and sits with his head down displaying his upset manner the Shepherd tries to comfort him. At first, he nudges the Rottweiler with his head and shows that he is nearby. But then, amazingly, he takes his right paw and gives his friend a few comforting pats on his head. He then leans his own head near the Rottweiler’s ears. It’s almost as if he is leaning in to whisper that everything is going to be okay. The Rottweiler even looks like he feels a little comforted. We can’t help but aww.
