Them! (1954)

Directed by Gordon Douglas, starring James Whitmore, Edmund Gwenn, and Joan Weldon. The film is one of the first of the "nuclear monster" movies, reflecting the anxieties of the Atomic Age. The story begins with the discovery of a young girl wandering in the New Mexico desert, traumatized and unable to speak. As law enforcement investigates, they uncover a series of bizarre and deadly incidents linked to giant, mutated ants created by atomic testing.
