Connecticut State Police shot robbery suspect who pulled out a revolver

(Disclaimer: This video content is for educational and informational purposes only) * Killingly, Connecticut - On December 30, 2023, Rhode Island authorities announced that a subject was wanted for in reference to a robbery operating Mercury Marquis Connecticut Registration C257810. Trooper Joseph Godbout discovered the vehicle at the Mobil gas station at 599 Hartford Pike, Dayville, CT. The operator, later identified as Ruben Muller, was outside the vehicle. When Trooper Godbout asked Muller for his license, Muller said he did not have it and fled across the parking lot toward a Taco Bell restaurant. Trooper Godb pursued and launched his TASER, causing Muller to fall briefly. Muller quickly got up and continued running. While driving to Taco Bell, Muller hit a truck entering the Taco Bell lot and fell again. Trooper Godbout attempted TASER Muller again. Muller then reached into the ankle area and pulled out a revolver. At this time, Trooper Godbout fired a shot, hitting Muller in the chest area. Medical assistance was provided to Muller at the scene. He was initially taken to Day Kimball Hospital, Putnam, CT and then to UMass Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, Massachusetts. He is currently being treated at UMass Memorial Medical Center.
