In this episode, AJ discusses the differences in mechanisms and destructive power between a conventional nuclear device and a radiological dispersal device (RDD), also known as a "dirty bomb." The intent and use of these two types of devices, although both involving radioactive material, are quite different in terms of their destructive capabilities.

AJ also explores what a person's response to a dirty bomb detonation in a populated area could be, and how to prepare and navigate the hours immediately following an RDD explosion.
