Catholic Prayer for Compassionate

Hello everyone, and welcome to America Needs Fatima’s 3-minute Meditation. In this short video segment, you and I will take about three minutes out of our day to meditate on a special piece of Catholic wisdom. In today’s meditation, we ask Our Lord for a heart as capable of kindness and love as His.

To ask for a more charitable heart, we must also ask for hands more ready to serve, and a mind that does not judge the hearts of others rashly. And while this may seem like a tall order, if we place our faith in Our Lord, anything is possible. This will require a great deal of fortitude and perseverance. However, so long as we remember to look up to our heavenly role models, we can see that the path has already been made for us, we need only follow.

“Father of compassion, Thou hath given guidance in the Bible to Thy children on how we should behave. I desire to be a child that is pleasing to Thy Holy Spirit and to exhibit kindness and forgiveness at all times. I want to live a life always marked with kindness and compassion, not just when it is easy.

Please examine my heart and show me areas marred with pride and hatefulness that I do not see. Because I am flesh still on this side of Heaven, I know I have areas that need to be cleansed by Thine holy touch. I have come to seek Thy help with being more Christ-like in my life. I feel I need to improve my kindness and charity towards others. Thou alone Lord, exercised perfect kindness on this earth and I want to be Thine ambassador of kindness. I pray that Thou increase the kindness and goodness in my life and make me into the image-bearer I am called to be. Amen.”

America Needs Fatima is a campaign to capture the heart and soul of America with the Message of Our Lady of Fatima. In 1917, Our Lady asked for prayer, penance and other measures to avoid chastisement of suffering, famines, and wars. She also promised that:
