Serious Productivity booster with this simple DIY Skid Steer Lift (jib?!)
Try at your own risk! Were not sure of the name, but we're sure it worked great for us!! We made this lift jib with old scrap wood 2x4s and used it to take down 20 old barn trusses that were 36ft long. Worked great, and super fast. So great in fact we were able to sell the old trusses! This concept works for anything that has a bucket (preferably hydraulic), such as a skid steer or even a yard tractor. No modification to the machine, no real fabrication, and just some basic tools to cut wood! We're estimating the trusses we lifted were under 100 lbs, maybe even just 80 lbs, so take that into consideration if making your own. May need to size up the wood, and add a few more or larger fasteners. Great for skid steer, lawn or yard tractor.
