Lady Justice was used like a Muslim slave, then murdered on a public scaffold

After the verdict in this past week’s trial, it may be time to amend that line because the nation we once thought of as America no longer exists; because freedom is fungible, something to be moved around, given and taken back, a favor granted, dispensed, doled out and retracted at the whim and wish of apparatchik cancer cells flowing through bureaucratic veins of what was once reverentially referred to as our system of justice. Now, it appears to me “Hell is empty and all the devils are here.”

Three things more occur to me: First, watch for dishonest poll results in our legacy media. They will craft a narrative and will be determined to push it; that being, that Trump’s conviction has damaged his support. This is a lie and the truth is precisely the opposite, but that won’t concern them. The corporate media feels a duty to damage Trump, so they will begin to scream a false narrative, that is to say, a lie.

The networks, cable news, and newspapers will, in tandem, insist that Trump is damaged goods as a result of this conviction. There is no trench deep enough to bury this shit. Ignore it; refute it; laugh at it. Contributions to Trump’s campaign rocketed after the trial, and nearly one third of the money has come from first-time contributors. Watch the needle on support from black males and Latinos. That will be much more telling than anything emerging from the likes of the Washinton Post or New York Times, where they go on about independents having deserted Trump. I suspect that the usual suspects of censorship will attempt to silence dissenting voices, but experience and alternative formats have tempered their effectiveness.

As a brief aside, the same silencing thugs that lied to us about COVID, Hunter Biden’s laptop, and Russian collusion, having never admitted guilt, let alone apologized, are now busily trying to construct a force to be employed in time for the election with the goal of suppressing ideas they don’t like. Can you believe these people? Their message seems to be “Oh, let’s forget about that. You can trust us this time.” These hump-backed bridge trolls are manifestly evil, and no matter how much you hate them, it’s not enough.

Okay, the second thing I want to emphasize is that there is no longer room in the Republican Party for people like Mitt Romney or Lynn Cheney, or any jelly-spined, go-along-to-get-along types. Conservatives need cold people of cruel imagination employing creative ways to make progressive politicians feel pain. However flimsy the pretense, red state AGs have to indict and arrest Dem office holders, officials and operatives. If convictions are possible, great; if not, then the process becomes the punishment.

Arrest them in public places or at home in front of family and neighbors in the middle of the afternoon. If that gets old, break down their doors at 3 am. The only way, and I mean the only way, to stop this nonsense is to let the other side know a relentless pain. That employed, we will, over time, perhaps regain what we’ve lost; without that, we are on an inexorable path to violence.

Lastly, and this may seem at odds to my former point, Trump, when elected, must be careful to put justice for his foes (Mind you, it’s not revenge; it is justice.) on the down-low, on the back burner. The first order of business must be to address the concerns of the people: Control the border and bring inflation down. If voters perceive that their wounds are being ministered, then they will allow Trump to beat his foes mercilessly. However, if Trump is thought to be punishing his enemies at the expense of the people’s troubles, then his support will evaporate.
