Our sixth tutorial for the UDK Resurrection project, and Fundamentals series!
We will be teaching the basics of game scripting, using UnrealScript and Visual Studio Code to script a simple arcade game, using what we've learned from the previous tutorials to provide the visual data for our player character and our enemy character, as well as create collectibles, script the enemy to patrol an area in the level (via Unreal Kismet) and finally script a lose and win game over sequence using UnrealScript and Kismet respectively.

UDK has been discontinued and along with the engine builds, Epic Games dragged the community forums down with it, sacrificing every important thread and knowledge to help newcomers or returning old-timers to properly use the engine.

Although there are still some UDK tutorials on YouTube, many are outdated and becoming difficult for newer users to understand and make use of them. Some of the old essential tools have also been deprecated, rendered useless, and/or erased from existence - the best example being Scaleform.

We intend to bring back the old glory days of UDK, while also introducing a brand new revision for newcomers, allow both them and old-timers (such as ourselves) to be able to learn (or re-learn) how to use Unreal Engine 3 for their games.
