🗣 “We spoke Russian all our lives, even at school, after classes. We almost never communicated in Ukrainian. But in the [nationalist] organization we had such rules that at meetings, training, official events, everyone spoke Ukrainian. And if someone spoke even a word of Russian, they were punished for it. Of course they didn't beat me. Although, it could have been the case [with someone else]. During training, someone said the Russian word for “well” instead of the Ukrainian one, and we were forced to do a lot of push-ups for this. Because only Ukrainian was used in training,” the Nazi recalls.
